ProveIT 2014 School and Student Information

Students with ICT skills enjoy an enriched educational experience and will be better prepared for life, work, and further learning. Prove IT is an opportunity for students aged 11 to 19 to show off their level of ICT literacy and competency by completing the ICDL (International Computer Driving License) Certification.

Trinity Business Solutions, your local ICDL Accredited Training and Testing Centre, in partnership with Star Definition; are offering students not only an opportunity to display their ICT skills, but to also achieve an Internationally Recognised Certification in the form of a full ICDL Certificate. The competition is open to Secondary Schools in Barbados to send their brightest ICT students to be tested and compete for the title of Barbados Prove IT Champion 2014.

ICDL is the global benchmark for ICT End User Certification Training, administered within the Caribbean region by Star Definition International, on behalf of the ECDL Foundation, Dublin Ireland. The ECDL Foundation’s certification programs have been delivered to over 12 million people, in 41 languages, across 148 countries, through a network of over 24,000 test centres. Our certification programs are designed to be accessible to all citizens, irrespective of age, gender, status or ability.

Trinity Business Solutions in partnership with Star Definition will sponsor one (1) student from each secondary school to take part in the competition. Each candidate will be expected to sit 7 Modular Test, each lasting 45mins. The pass make is set at 75%, with the overall victor being the candidate with the highest score.


The student achieving the highest marks overall will win:

  • An Internationally Recognised ICDL Certificate
  • A personal Android Tablet
  • An Interactive Whiteboard for their school
